Award nomination for Indigenous vaccination campaign

Rhythm's Creative Director, Adam Rule, has been recognised with a nomination for the prestigious national Ellie Awards by the Australian Screen Editors Guild.

Adam is nominated in the Open Content category for his editing work on Rhythm's COVID-19 vaccination campaign for the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Service. The campaign aired in the Kimberley and then nationally over the course of 2022.

The hard-hitting concept involved recreating the journey of a mother and daughter at different stages of life to highlight the need to vaccinate and protect the ones we love. The challenge was using untrained talent that didn’t necessarily look like the same people over different life stages. To join the dots, Adam created a dramatic match cut sequence to suddenly force the audience into the realities of COVID-19.

The campaign consisted of a hero 60 second TVC, 30 and 15 second cut-downs, and a suite of testimonial spots that encouraged Aboriginal people to get vaccinated for the good of their family and community.
