Rhythm is a creative production studio led by multidisciplinary duo Adam and Gemma Rule. We collaborate with ambitious brands and fellow innovators in both the advertising and entertainment sectors. We craft engaging storytelling that resonate deeply with audiences, fostering meaningful connections and driving tangible results.
Adam's creative journey began in graphic and digital design, working with various studios and agencies. Despite his passion for filmmaking, he spent years refining his skills by day while independently producing music videos and creative content. This dual experience ultimately led him to establish Rhythm, a unique hybrid of creative-led production and design.
With a strong portfolio of exceptional film and content for diverse clients, including government, healthcare, retail, hospitality, leisure and tourism, sport, and the arts, Adam's key strength lies in his ability to articulate his distinctive creative vision to all involved.
As Rhythm continues to evolve, Adam and his trusted collaborators are expanding into the entertainment sector, developing narrative and documentary projects in addition to their advertising work.
Adam’s outstanding contributions as owner and creative director of Rhythm’s projects have been consistently recognised. Individually, he has received numerous accolades as both a director and editor, including PADC Diamond Skull Awards, Gold, Silver, and Bronze PADC Awards, Campaign Brief, and WA Screen Culture awards, along with nominations by the ASE (Australian Screen Editors) for his editing.
Gemma is a producer and director with a creative eye birthed from a background in photography. In keeping with Rhythm’s multi-skilled versatility, Gem also shoots and edits smaller projects, giving her a well-rounded approach to storytelling.
As co-founder of Rhythm, she’s overseen and produced campaigns for clients such as City of Fremantle, Kailis Jewellery, Asahi Beverages, the Department of Education and various Aboriginal Health Organisations.
Whether she’s managing productions or diving into the edit suite, Gemma is passionate about shaping authentic, engaging stories that resonate with audiences.
With a career spanning decades in Perth's agency scene, Jodie is a seasoned Project Manager who's managed some of the city's most well-known brands like Water Corporation, RAC, and Western Power, LWP and also leading the national Red Rooster account. Just to name a few. From initial concept to final execution, her love for bringing a client’s vision to life across multiple marketing channels with also a keen eye for detail, and a natural affinity for systems and procedures, makes her a vital part of the Rhythm team.
Her role involves supporting the creative and production teams to deliver integrated campaigns for a varied list of clients, including Tourism WA, NACCHO, Department of Health, City of Fremantle, and Kailis Jewellery.
Rhythm acknowledges the traditional custodians throughout Western Australia and their continuing connection to the land, waters and community. We pay our respects to all members of the Aboriginal communities and their cultures; and to Elders both past and present.
