Celebrating an Olympian

’People were touched by Jeremy’s story and the way in which he has dealt with adversity.’

Despite having competed in four Paralympics, five world championships and countless long distance ocean swims, Jeremy McClure is not a household name. Rhythm’s new online campaign intends to change that and give Australians another inspiring athlete to celebrate and support. A web commercial and series of short vignettes will give viewers the opportunity to explore the many facets that make up this amazing athlete.

“It always bothered me why such a courageous athlete like Jeremy isn’t more widely recognised for his contributions to his sport. He’s one of the strongest people I’ve met. He deserves his moment in the sun,” said Writer / Director Adam Rule.

Creative and production were all done in-house with considerable contributions from many of Rhythm’s creative partners including Raz Rentals, DP Justin Griffiths, Justin Braine and Andrew Wright.

Says Executive Producer Gemma Rule, “We wouldn’t normally put credits at the end of content like this, but with so many people helping to pull this project together it felt like the right thing to do. People were touched by Jeremy’s story and the way in which he has dealt with adversity.”

The social media campaign started July 28 and you can follow Jeremy @jeremymcclureswims
